Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 22, 2026
Introduction
This policy describes how Humboldt Moving & Storage (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information collected through humboldtmoving.com (the “website”). It applies to visits to the website and information submitted through our estimate and contact form. It does not attempt to describe every offline business record that may be created after someone becomes a customer.
Please do not submit highly sensitive information, such as Social Security numbers, payment-card information, or medical information, through the website form.
Information we collect
Information you provide
When you use the estimate or contact form, you may provide a move or service type; origin, destination, or service location (generally a city, state, ZIP or postal code, or country); a preferred date or timeframe; home, office, or project size; packing or storage interest; your first and last name; email address; telephone number; and an optional message or other request details.
Information collected automatically
The website and its service providers may automatically receive an IP address or approximate location, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, visit dates and times, general interaction information, cookie or similar pseudonymous identifiers, and basic server, security, and error logs. The exact information depends on your browser settings, analytics consent or settings, and the services active on the production website.
How we use information
- Respond to estimate and contact requests and route them to an appropriate team.
- Discuss requested moving, packing, or storage services and communicate about your inquiry.
- Operate, maintain, and secure the website and prevent spam, fraud, and misuse.
- Understand general site usage and improve navigation, content, forms, and user experience.
- Comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes.
Submitting the website form does not create a binding quote or booking.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand website traffic and interactions. GA4 may receive page views, session statistics, approximate location, browser and device information, and pseudonymous identifiers stored in cookies such as _ga and _ga_<container-id>. Analytics begins automatically when you visit. Browser settings, blocking tools, and provider restrictions may limit collection.
Our custom GA4 events measure estimate-form starts, completed steps, general error categories, successful submissions, and clicks on telephone links. They do not include names, email addresses, telephone numbers, move locations, or message text. We remove query strings and fragments from the page address sent by our integration. We configure our integration to disable Google Signals and advertising personalization and do not attach customer IDs to analytics events.
Google processes information under its own Privacy Policy. You can also use browser controls or Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Microsoft Clarity
We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors navigate the website through heatmaps and session replays. Clarity may collect clicks, scrolling, pointer movements, page content and layout, device and browser information, approximate location, and pseudonymous identifiers. A session replay reconstructs interactions with a web page; it is not a camera or microphone recording. Website usage data may be collected using first- and third-party cookies and similar technologies for site improvement and security.
We configure the estimate form to mask its contents and do not use Clarity’s Identify API to attach names, email addresses, telephone numbers, or customer identifiers. Our integration does not load Clarity on estimate-confirmation pages or pages with query strings. Microsoft also processes collected information for its own purposes, including Microsoft Advertising and improving its products, under its Privacy Statement. Microsoft acts as a separate data controller. Clarity’s cookie behavior depends on its settings and region; our integration does not send Microsoft an affirmative consent signal on your behalf.
Cookies and similar technologies
Essential or security-related cookies and browser storage help operate and protect the estimate form. GA4 and Clarity may use cookies or similar identifiers for analytics, and embedded services may use their own cookies. We store an opaque estimate-receipt identifier locally to avoid counting the same submission twice; we do not send that identifier as an analytics event parameter. Blocking analytics does not prevent you from requesting an estimate.
Embedded maps and external services
Location pages may contain embedded Google Maps. When a map loads, Google may receive your IP address, browser or device information, interaction and location-related information, and cookie or similar identifier information depending on your settings. See Google’s Privacy Policy. Links to other websites lead to services governed by their own privacy practices.
Form security
We use Cloudflare Turnstile to help distinguish legitimate form requests from automated abuse. Cloudflare may process technical information about your browser, device and connection for this security check. Our server sends the verification token to Cloudflare to validate it. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.
When we disclose information
We may disclose information to website hosting and infrastructure providers, email-delivery providers, website maintenance providers acting for Humboldt, Google for Analytics and Maps, Microsoft for Clarity, Cloudflare for form abuse prevention, and Humboldt offices, personnel, or appropriate affiliated service teams needed to respond to a request. We may also disclose information to legal, regulatory, or law-enforcement authorities when required, or to a successor in a merger, acquisition, or transfer of the business.
We do not sell or rent the contact details or request contents you submit through the estimate form, or use those submissions for cross-context behavioral advertising. This is separate from the website-usage data collected by Google and Microsoft as described above; those companies process data under their own applicable terms and privacy policies.
Data retention
Estimate and contact information is retained only as long as reasonably necessary to respond, provide requested services, maintain appropriate business records, prevent abuse, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations. Information related to an actual customer move may become part of separate business, transaction, or legal records retained under applicable operational requirements.
Analytics providers retain data according to our configured settings and their own policies. Server and security logs are retained according to hosting and security needs. Information is deleted or de-identified when it is no longer reasonably needed, subject to backups and legal obligations.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to the website and information involved. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Please do not send highly sensitive information through the estimate form. Suspected security problems may be reported through our Contact page or main business telephone number.
Visitor choices and requests
You may contact us to request access to personal information you submitted through the website, correction of inaccurate information, deletion subject to legal and business-record exceptions, or information about applicable privacy choices. Depending on where you live, applicable law may provide additional privacy rights. We may need to verify your identity before disclosing or deleting information, and we will not discriminate against someone for making a privacy request where prohibited by law.

(800) 392-2729California Do Not Track disclosure
This website does not currently change its analytics behavior in response to browser Do Not Track (DNT) or Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals. You can block or delete cookies through your browser, use tracking-blocking tools, or use the Google Analytics opt-out add-on linked above. Provider settings may offer additional choices. Blocking analytics does not prevent you from requesting an estimate; essential form-security checks are separate.
Children’s privacy
The website and moving services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the website. A parent or guardian may contact us if they believe a child submitted information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when website practices, providers, or legal requirements change. We will revise the “Last updated” date, and material changes may also be identified through a prominent website notice when appropriate. Continued use after an update is subject to the revised policy, except where affirmative consent is required.
